Apeiron continues to build an impressive team of storage and network advisers

Folsom, CA September 26, 2016 The Silicon Valley veteran has joined the Apeiron technical advisory board to further the company’s advancement of its Direct Scale Out Flash architecture.  Apeiron continues to gain significant traction in the rapidly growing high performance storage market, driven by the fact it has developed the world’s only native NVMe storage network.  Apeiron stands alone with the ability to network thousands of NVMe SSDs from any supplier, including next generation 3D XPoint technology®  from Intel® Corporation.  The ability to seamlessly scale up and out with increasing performance is the perfect fit for massive Big Data workloads.  The ability to leverage NVMe SSD’s in a non-blocking storage network provides unmatched performance to PetaBytes.  The company routinely demonstrates well over 18M IOPS per 2U enclosure.  A figure that will increase even further with the next generation of NVMe SSDs.

About Mr. Kleiman: Most recently, Mr. Kleiman was Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist at NetApp®, Inc., responsible for setting future technology directions for the company. He has been involved with the design and development of UNIX and workstation architectures since 1977; first at Bell Labs, where he helped to develop the first x86 based UNIX product, and then at Sun Microsystems. While at Sun, Mr. Kleiman developed the Vnodes file system interface, and was a member of the original NFS development team. Mr. Kleiman received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1978 and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T in 1977. He is the author or co-author of 17 conference and journal papers, holds 66 patents, and has published one book.

About Apeiron Data Systems: Apeiron has developed and released the world’s only native NVMe storage network.  This technology provides the ability to leverage all the performance and scale of the NVMe interface with no need for proprietary drives or external storage switches.  The ADS1000® is the fastest external NVMe array in the world, capable of sustained performance of over 18M IOPS and 72GB/s of throughput for every 2U ADS enclosure.  This performance increases linearly with every 2U module added.  Learn more at and follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter.
